Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Technologist who is passionate about laboratory excellence and committed to delivering accurate, patient-centered diagnostic services in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Shift: Nights | Rotating Weekends (Weekends Only Schedule Available: Thursday–Sunday)
Responsibilities include:
- Perform pre-analytic laboratory responsibilities including specimen collection, specimen processing, clerical duties, and data entry
- Perform waived, moderate complexity, and high complexity testing on blood and body fluids in accordance with CLIA regulations
- Complete post-analytic responsibilities including result reporting, verification, troubleshooting, and quality control monitoring
- Assist with orientation and training of laboratory staff and students
- Maintain a safe and professional laboratory environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years of recent Blood Bank experience in an acute care hospital laboratory required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related science required
- Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree and sub-specialty certification or CLIA88 grandfathered status may also be considered
- ASCP Certification or equivalent required
- Accepted certifications include:
- Medical Technologist ASCP
- CLS (NCA)
- BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), I(ASCP), H(ASCP), or M(ASCP)
- Non-acute care laboratory experience will not be considered
Compensation & Perks:
- Salary Range: $29.00/hr – $41.00/hr based on years of experience
- Relocation Assistance: $5,000
Shift Differentials:
- Evenings: +$2.00/hr
- Nights: +$3.00/hr
- Weekends: +$3.00/hr
