Job Title: Reach Truck Operator
Job Description
This role involves operating a stand-up reach truck forklift in a cold storage warehouse to accurately pick, put away, and build orders. The position requires frequent use of RF scanners and a computer system to complete orders, as well as manual tasks such as staging, wrapping, and breaking down pallets while working in a 30-degree environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate a stand-up reach truck forklift safely and efficiently in a cold storage facility.
- Perform putaways by moving products from receiving or staging areas into designated inventory bays.
- Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and follow order instructions.
- Build and stage orders according to customer and internal requirements.
- Load and unload trucks using the reach truck and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Break down pallets and move skids to appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory movement and ensure accurate documentation.
- Use a computer system to print orders, complete order processing, and update order status.
- Wrap and secure pallets for shipment or storage.
- Step off the forklift as needed to handle staging, wrapping, picking, and other manual warehouse tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines for operating equipment in a cold storage environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of recent reach truck or stand-up reach forklift operating experience in a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency operating a stand-up reach truck forklift for putaways, picking, and material handling.
- Experience performing putaways and picking orders using a reach truck.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to build and organize orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to work comfortably and consistently in a 30-degree cold storage environment.
- Ability to use RF scanners for inventory, picking orders, and order pulling.
- Basic computer skills to print orders and complete order processing in a warehouse system.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, staging, and inventory handling.
- Ability to work the listed second-shift schedule: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in warehouse shipping, receiving, and inventory control is beneficial.
- Experience with stand-up lift and reach lift equipment in a warehouse environment.
- Experience in order pulling, picking, and material handling in a distribution or cold storage facility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a cold storage warehouse with inventory bays for storing products at approximately 30 degrees. The role is primarily performed on a stand-up reach truck forklift, with regular movement throughout the facility for staging, wrapping, and manual picking tasks. The schedule is second shift, 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., working Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The facility provides cold-weather gear such as jackets, gloves, bibs, and suits, and team members may also wear their own hoodies, jackets, hats, and similar attire suitable for a cold environment. The warehouse uses RF scanners and computer systems to manage inventory and orders, and emphasizes safety, organization, and efficient material handling in a fast-paced setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
