Job Title: Cardiovascular Sonographer / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Goldsboro, NC 27534
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality outpatient echocardiograms and generating diagnostic ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures. The technologist will provide exceptional patient care before, during, and after procedures while ensuring accurate imaging, equipment functionality, and proper documentation.

Key Responsibilities

\t
• Perform outpatient echocardiograms and cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.
\t
• Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including patient assessment and monitoring.
\t
• Respond appropriately during emergency situations; CPR certification required.
\t
• Prepare procedure rooms and imaging equipment for daily operations and between procedures.
\t
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly.
\t
• Perform and document equipment quality assurance and maintenance checks.
\t
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
\t
• Monitor, record, and maintain patient information, reports, and imaging data systems.
\t
• Complete charge entry documentation and retrieve stored reports as needed.
\t
• Assist with patient transportation following procedures when necessary.
\t
• May participate in staff training and education activities.

Required Qualifications

\t
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Sonographer experience required.
\t
• Experience performing outpatient echocardiograms required.
\t
• Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field required
  \tOR completion of a 12-month ultrasound program.
\t
• Active BLS certification required.
\t
• One of the following certifications is required:\t

  • RDCS through ARDMS
  \t\t
  • RCS or RCCS through CCI
  \t
  \t

• Strong knowledge of echocardiography procedures and cardiovascular imaging.

• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
\t
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.
\t
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
\t
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
