Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU position at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana, requiring Cerner experience and an active IN or Compact RN license.

Details
  • Short-term acute care hospital setting
  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
  • Float required to Med-Surg and potentially affiliate hospitals nearby
  • Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
  • Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA and RQI formats accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • RN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university required
  • 2 supervisor references required for consideration
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this position
  • Indiana-licensed RNs are not permitted to work at this facility (exceptions apply for Periop/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN roles including ENDO, IR, PACU, Cath Lab, and SDS)
  • Any former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
  • Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break before resuming: 90 days for out-of-state residents, 180 days for in-state residents
  • Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
  • Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
