American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU position at a short-term acute care hospital in Indiana, requiring Cerner experience and an active IN or Compact RN license.
Details- Short-term acute care hospital setting
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Float required to Med-Surg and potentially affiliate hospitals nearby
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Active IN or Compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA and RQI formats accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- RN degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited university required
- 2 supervisor references required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Indiana residents are considered local candidates and are not eligible for this position
- Indiana-licensed RNs are not permitted to work at this facility (exceptions apply for Periop/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN roles including ENDO, IR, PACU, Cath Lab, and SDS)
- Any former permanent or PRN employee of IU Health must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health must take a consecutive break before resuming: 90 days for out-of-state residents, 180 days for in-state residents
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
