Job Overview:
\n AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to support OB/GYN outpatient care at NMCP. RNs will assist with scheduled visits, procedures, and follow-ups involving prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and gynecological health. The RN plays a key role in patient flow, education, and communication between the physician and patient, supporting high-quality care in a structured clinic environment.
\n General Duties:
\n Deliver nursing services as authorized by clinical privileges and state scope of practice
\n Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and healthcare staff
\n Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records
\n Ensure compliance with clinic policies, infection control, and safety procedures
\n Support clinical tasks and staff training where needed
\n Specific Duties:
\n Conduct initial assessments, obtain vitals, and document patient history
\n Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures (e.g., pap smears, biopsies)
\n Provide prenatal and gynecological education to patients
\n Administer medications and injections as prescribed
\n Collect lab samples and ensure proper documentation
\n Follow up on test results and communicate care plans
\n Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and support continuity of care
\n Provide patient counseling and education on contraception, prenatal care, or recovery
\n Float to other OB/GYN clinics when necessary
\n Qualifications:
\n Degree:
\n Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
\n Education:
\n Graduate from an institution accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
\n Certification:
\n Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
\n Women’s Health or OB/GYN-related certifications – Preferred
\n Experience:
\n At least one year of recent RN experience in OB/GYN outpatient, prenatal, or gynecological care settings
\n Licensure:
\n Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
\n Skills and Abilities:
\n Proficiency in women’s health and OB/GYN outpatient nursing procedures
\n Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
\n Comfortable with sensitive patient topics and discussions
\n Strong EHR documentation skills (e.g., MHS Genesis)
\n Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment
\n Schedule:
\n Monday through Friday
\n 0700–1800 (7 AM to 6 PM)
\n Coverage of up to 120 hours per week across RN team
\n No weekends or holidays required
\n Work Environment:
\n Clinic setting in OB/GYN outpatient department at NMCP
\n Focused on scheduled visits and procedures
\n May require float coverage within OB/GYN outpatient departments
\n Immunization Requirement:
\n Must be vaccinated for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Influenza
\n TB screening required
\n NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalent form must be completed
\n Security Requirement:
\n Background investigation and credentialing required
\n Onboarding process may take up to 90 days
