Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Worcester, MA, requiring LDRP float pool coverage across L&D and postpartum with night shift availability.

Details
  • Hospital Labor & Delivery unit serving as a true LDRP maternity float pool
  • Requires floating between Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum (PP)
  • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
  • 13- or 26-week contract lengths accepted
  • Epic EMR used
  • Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
  • Active MA RN license required (pending MA license is acceptable at time of submission; must apply for MA conditional/temp license within 48 hours of offer)
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring certification or higher required
  • Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; 3 years strongly preferred (2+ years with travel experience will be considered)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must be willing and able to float between L&D and Postpartum
  • Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
  • Candidates must not have any prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license
Additional Information
  • Orientation includes two pass/fail exams: a medication exam and a telemetry/EKG exam, each with only one attempt allowed — failure results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Study materials will be provided prior to and during the orientation process
  • Candidates must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
  • First-time travelers with sufficient experience may be considered
