Position: Physical Therapist

Salary Range: $38-41 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at a 90 bed skilled nursing facility. Our facility offers post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care to our patients. This is a part-time position with 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a weekend rotation.

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities. Your goal will be to help patients regain mobility, strength, and function, and improve their overall quality of life. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals

- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility

- Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy as needed

- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for exercises and activities to continue progress outside of therapy sessions

- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient treatments and progress

- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and ethical standards in patient care

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

- Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred

- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and modalities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to patient care

- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical record systems
