Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Sacramento, California

Start Date: 06-23-2026

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Five 8-hour shifts with varied start times (6:00 AM or 10:00 AM), plus overnight call once a week and 3 weekend call days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist surgeons during CABG, valve replacements, and other heart surgeries
• Maintain sterile field and ensure all instruments are ready
• Collaborate with the CVOR team in a fast-paced environment
• Monitor and interpret EKG strips during procedures
• Float to other Sacramento facilities when needed

Qualifications

• 2 years of CVOR experience minimum
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Strong CVOR skills and confidence in the OR
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• CVOR procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
• EKG interpretation
• Cerner EMR system
• Sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced OR
