Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and the ability to catch and transition infants after delivery.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- High-risk patient population is the primary focus of care
- Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
- Night shift schedule, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, with 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available
- Every other weekend required as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to sister units within scope of practice
- Charting performed in Epic
- Free parking available on site
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must be fully licensed before starting
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, NRP, and ACLS
- STABLE certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Demonstrated ability to catch and transition infants after delivery required
- LDRP experience preferred
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates who are current or former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible
- Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible; non-local candidates are prioritized
- All requested time off must be disclosed upfront and is subject to facility approval based on unit needs
- Online orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September; all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period
- Royal blue scrubs required
