SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for inspecting finished goods for defects, burrs, etc. as they relate to the KMC product standards and quality specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examines finished goods and materials for cosmetic defects, miss-formed parts, burrs, and general KMC product standards.
• Verifies specified dimensions of products using pin and plug gauges, attribute gauges, calipers, height stands, and other inspection equipment.
• Rejects defective parts and marks type of part defect on appropriate container.
• Package product to customer standards while maintaining an accurate count of the product.
• Perform limited transactions in ERP system (Plex) to update and split off inventory levels

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education (GED) or one to three month’s related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using basic inspection equipment including no/no go gauges, height stands, calipers is a plus.
• Experience using hand tools including files, die grinders, and hand drills is a plus
• Good math skills, basic reading & writing skills
• Good organizational & communication skills.
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent attention to detail
