Job Description

The IT Support Specialist supports day-to-day IT operations and account management across all our company locations. This role is primarily onsite at the Charles City VA location, with regular support provided to the Fredericksburg VA location. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in an IT environment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple technology-related accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support for both Charles City VA and Fredericksburg VA locations
  • Perform workstation diagnostics and basic troubleshooting (hardware, software, connectivity)
  • Support and maintain basic network infrastructure
  • Manage wireless accounts across RTP
  • Manage and track various smaller IT-related accounts across RTP
  • Assist with user setup, access, and general technical support
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers as needed
  • Travel between company locations as required
  • Maintain documentation and inventory of IT assets

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an IT environment
  • Working knowledge of basic network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless access points)
  • Experience with workstation setup, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
  • Strong organizational and account management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable transportation for local travel between sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior help desk or technical support experience
  • Familiarity with wireless account management
  • Experience supporting multiple office locations
  • Basic understanding of IT asset tracking and documentation
