Quality Manager

Growing manufacturing company in Northeast Ohio has an outstanding opportunity available for a Quality Manager. 

Job Summary:

This is a key position accountable for results, with minimal guidance, in the assigned areas of responsibilities. This position will be responsible for developing strategies, priorities and directing implementation in the following areas.

Essential Functions:

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:

• Establish and maintain quality management system 
• Management Representative for ISO 9001
•  Upgrade and maintain QMS system and oversee certification process.
• Implement and audit the effectiveness of the quality system
• Schedule, coordinate and conduct internal audits QP-17 Internal Audits
• Coordinate root cause for Corrective and Preventive Action QP-14
• Conduct daily MRB meeting QP-13 Nonconforming Material
• Refine/resolve production quality problems
• Enter, track and respond to Customer Complaints
• Provide agenda and structure for management review process QP-01 Management Review
• Responsible for revisions to quality procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to improvement committee work such as process improvement and visual inspection instructions.
• All responsibilities from JD-QA Quality Engineer

Ability to fill-in for subordinates during periods of absence.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or 5-year quality assurance experience
• Experience: Minimum 5 yrs high level quality assurance experience
• Computer Skills: Proficient with computers
• Familiarity with manufacturing standards and systems
• Possible overnight/extended travel
• Commitment to ongoing training
• Experience in plastics, extrusion, thermoplastics, rubber, elastomers, HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, Polyethylene, Polypropylene, thermoforming,  or blow molding would be a plus.
