Senior Customer AI Engineer

About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing AI software company is seeking a technically strong, customer-facing Senior Customer AI Engineer to support enterprise clients throughout the full lifecycle of AI-driven marketing and automation initiatives — from implementation and integration through optimization, adoption, and expansion.

This role sits at the intersection of technical account management, AI solution consulting, and customer delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with enterprise stakeholders while also engaging deeply with APIs, integrations, data flows, and AI-powered workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Technical Partnership

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned enterprise accounts, supporting integrations, platform configuration, troubleshooting, and advanced technical inquiries.
  • Guide customers through onboarding, implementation, and ongoing optimization initiatives to ensure successful adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


AI Solutions & Integrations

  • Support customer integrations involving APIs, data feeds, product catalogs, and other platform dependencies.
  • Design and support custom technical solutions including dashboards, data exports, workflow automations, and AI-driven processes tailored to customer requirements.
  • Partner with customers on optimization, measurement frameworks, automation strategies, and performance validation initiatives.


Technical Pre-Sales & Strategic Support

  • Assist with technical components of RFPs, RFIs, and enterprise solution discussions.
  • Help standardize and improve technical documentation, workflows, and customer-facing processes as the organization scales.
  • Identify opportunities for expanded platform adoption through additional technical use cases and optimization strategies.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, engineering, sales, and customer success teams to communicate customer feedback and influence platform improvements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of customer delivery best practices and scalable implementation processes.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.


Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer, Customer Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar.
  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS, AI, martech, adtech, or data-driven software platforms preferred.
  • Proven track record working with large enterprise or Fortune 500 customer environments.


Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with APIs, integrations, data feeds, and technical implementations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, AI workflows, and automation technologies.
  • Working knowledge of databases, analytics, and data management principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions effectively.


Communication & Leadership

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Consultative, customer-first mindset with strong relationship management capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to process development within a scaling organization.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with strong ownership mentality.
