General Information
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds : 101
· Patient Ratios : 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
· Unit staffing description- Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights
· Type of equipment : baxter pumps, Client monitors
· Documentation system: Cerner
· Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, can't commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.
· Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
· Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: ACLS before starting dateon hire
BLS before starting dateon hire
PALS before starting date on hire
TNCC before starting date on hire
CPI before starting dateon hire
NIHSS before starting dateon hire
ENPC within 90 days of hire
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: 2 years' experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume > 100,000 visit ED. Previous HCA experience preferred.
Must have : 2 years' experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
Advanced skills needed:
Must be able to read telemetry monitors and pass the tele exam.
