Job Description
NOW HIRING!! A-Line is seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technicians to join a growing Pharmacy Operations team in Cary, NC. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for individuals who consistently meet performance metrics and attendance expectations.
Pharmacy Technician – Cary, NC
Pay: $22/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Temporary-to-Permanent Opportunity
Schedule
- Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (onsite)
- Permanent Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Possible rotating Saturdays once per month with a weekday off
- Hybrid schedule may become available after 90–120 days based on attendance and performance
Work Environment
- Onsite during training and initial employment period
- Hybrid eligibility available after performance expectations are met
- Onsite gym available
- Holidays off (unpaid)
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound pharmacy-related calls
- Schedule medication refills, deliveries, and payments
- Provide prescription status updates and general account support
- Route calls to appropriate pharmacy or clinical personnel when needed
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and documentation
- Process medical claims and update progress notes
- Verify insurance information and provide invoice copies upon request
- Address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Escalate adverse events or product complaints to clinical staff
- Support overall pharmacy workflow and customer satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate degree preferred
- At least 1 year of call center or customer service experience preferred
- Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional phone presence and strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Medical office, pharmacy, or medical terminology experience is a plus
- Medical claims experience is a plus
