Job Description

** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced GIS Tech to fill a three-year contract assignment in the Naperville, IL area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Job Title: GIS Tech 2 

Work Location: Naperville, IL 

Hybrid Schedule is Monday-Thursday in office, with Friday remote.

Requirements:

Local Candidates only.

No per diem.

• Diploma or certificate in Geographical Information Systems or related curriculum.
• 2-4 Years Experience in a related field.
• 2-4 Years working with ESRI GIS software, tools and databases. 
• Preferred: Gas utility experience and as-built mapping experience

Responsibilities:

• Manage routine GIS tasks, including data management and map creation ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Create maps and other visual representations using GIS tools.
• Ensure timely updates to GIS databases.
• Collaborate with GIS Analysts on complex projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Provide input on GIS tool enhancements.
