Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in California, requiring active CA licensure, TNCC, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience on NOC shifts.
Details
- Critical access hospital setting with 22 acute beds and 99 long-term care beds
- Emergency Department (ED) unit
- NOC shift: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active California RN license in good standing required
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
Additional Information
- Conducts individualized patient assessments and develops care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Performs treatments and assigned tasks including EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts
- Initiates emergency resuscitative measures per resuscitation protocols
- Provides patient and family education and maintains accurate, timely documentation
- Reports directly to the on-duty Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor
- Must be able to multi-task efficiently and respond quickly during onset of acute illness or trauma
- Professional appearance and adherence to dress code required
- Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
