We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support a secure and detail-focused testing environment. This is a long-term contract, part-time opportunity with approximately 20 hours per week, and hours may vary based on site needs, including required Saturday availability and occasional evening or Sunday coverage. The person in this role will welcome test takers, oversee exam sessions, and help ensure policies are followed consistently while delivering a positive and fair candidate experience.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors to the testing site, confirm identity documentation, and guide candidates through the check-in process.
• Conduct required security screening procedures, including the use of handheld screening tools and other established protocols.
• Supervise examinees throughout their testing sessions to protect exam integrity and maintain a controlled environment.
• Address candidate concerns promptly, document unusual situations, and escalate issues when needed in accordance with site guidelines.
• Safeguard test materials, equipment, and restricted areas to ensure the center remains secure at all times.
• Support a fair and comfortable experience for each candidate by providing clear instructions and attentive assistance.
• Complete administrative tasks such as scanning records, maintaining accurate documentation, and preparing reports or correspondence.
• Assist with basic computer and office equipment handling, including packing, unpacking, or moving materials for site operations when required.
• Adapt to a changing weekly schedule based on testing volume and operational needs, with schedules typically provided in advance.• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework is helpful.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, front desk, or similar environments.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates, visitors, and team members in person and in writing.
• Comfortable using Windows-based computers and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web browsers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced testing environment.
• Able to remain seated or standing for extended periods, move through the testing room regularly, and escort candidates as needed.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, work in tight spaces when necessary, and lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Capable of monitoring computer screens and camera displays with close visual attention while maintaining testing security.
