This role involves operating production machinery to cut materials to precise customer specifications in a small, collaborative shop environment. You will handle your own materials from start to finish, including pulling stock, running your assigned machine, inspecting output, and preparing finished products for shipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate assigned machinery to cut materials accurately to customer specifications.
- Pull and stage your own materials from stock prior to machine operation.
- Set up, run, and monitor your machine to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
- Use tape measures and hand tools to measure, verify, and adjust materials as needed.
- Inspect finished parts or materials for quality and accuracy before shipment.
- Stock and organize your work area to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation.
- Prepare completed materials for shipment, including basic packaging and staging in the shipping area.
- Perform basic paperwork tasks, such as recording production information and order details.
- Safely operate a forklift in the warehouse and shipping bay when needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with materials, machinery, or quality.
- At least 6 months of manufacturing or equivalent hands-on production experience.
- Ability to operate basic production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong English comprehension to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and documentation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly during the shift.
- Basic measurement skills using a tape measure to verify dimensions.
- Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively.
- Capability to complete basic paperwork and record production information accurately.
- Experience with general labor in a production or warehouse setting.
- Previous machine operation experience in a small-shop environment.
- Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or shipping bay.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while managing your own machine and materials.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with some overtime as needed.

Work Environment
The role is based in a small production shop with approximately six machines in the main area, where each operator runs their own machine. There is a separate warehouse space with a forklift and shipping bay for material handling and outbound shipments. The standard schedule is 1st shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some overtime as needed. The work is physically active and requires regularly lifting 50+ pounds and moving materials throughout the shop and warehouse. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, with an expectation of safe equipment use and appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
