Account Payable Specialist

Overview
Job Title: Junior Accountant (AP & AR) - Software company located in Bradenton, FL. Hours 8am to 5pm M- F. Pay range $23 to $25 per hour.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented accounting person with strong analytical and critical thinking skills to support both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This role requires accuracy, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and download vendor invoices and financial documents

· Review purchase orders and resolve discrepancies

· Enter transactions into Sage 200 with a high level of accuracy

· Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end processes

· Process tax exemption forms in Avalara

· Maintain AP/AR records and documentation within Sage 200

· Extract, analyze, and reconcile financial data using Excel

· Perform allocations within Sage 200

· Support AR functions, including collections and customer communications

· Assist with journal entries, accounting reconciliations and month end closing process

Qualifications:

· Prior accounting experience required (AP/AR preferred)

· Excel skills required

· Experience with Sage 200 a plus

· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to work independently
