Job Description

Job Summary:

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and auditing incoming materials, purchased parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications. This role supports quality control processes by reviewing documentation, performing inspections, and identifying non-conforming materials in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections, tests, and audits on incoming materials, purchased parts, assemblies, and finished products
Verify products and materials meet company quality standards and specifications
Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and inspection documents
Approve or reject materials, components, and assemblies based on inspection results
Perform sampling and testing of raw materials and incoming components
Maintain inspection records and quality documentation accurately
Support in-process and final quality inspections
Identify and report non-conforming materials or products
Assist in maintaining compliance with quality control procedures and standards
Interface with suppliers or customer quality representatives when required
Use inspection and measuring tools to verify dimensions and specifications
Support overall manufacturing and quality assurance operations

Required Skills:

At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to read and use tape measures, calipers, and other inspection tools
Basic understanding of quality inspection processes
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and documentation skills
Basic communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and work in a supervised environment

Preferred Skills:

Basic computer skills
Experience in manufacturing, inspection, or quality environments
Familiarity with quality documentation and reporting

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required
