Job Description
Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a difference this summer by supporting middle school students during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This contract paraprofessional role provides the opportunity to work directly with students—either one-on-one or within a classroom—helping them thrive in a supportive environment. The schedule runs from July 6 through July 23, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 1:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break, totaling 20 hours each week.
Your day may include hands-on assistance with toileting, lifting, or feeding, so it’s important to be comfortable with personal care responsibilities. You’ll play a key part in fostering academic and behavioral growth for students who benefit from extra summer support.
What we’re looking for:
- Current Para Test Certification, or proof of at least two years (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits) of post-secondary education from an accredited institution, or an equivalent college degree.
- Compassion, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate with educators and families.
- Reliability and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Previous paraprofessional or instructional support experience is a plus.
- Willingness to participate in in-person interviews.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting individual students or groups with educational and behavioral goals.
- Assisting with classroom management, daily routines, and transitions.
- Providing physical assistance, including toileting, lifting, or feeding as needed.
- Maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
Enjoy meaningful work in a welcoming school setting and gain valuable classroom experience this summer. If you’re committed to making a difference and meet the certification or educational requirements, take the next step and apply today!
Compensation for this position ranges from $20.86 to $34.86. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
