Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role focuses on accurately picking and preparing battery orders in a clean warehouse environment. You will locate products based on work orders, inspect and prepare batteries for shipment, and support both outbound deliveries and will-call customer orders using pallet jacks and related equipment.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders and follow instructions to locate the correct batteries in the warehouse.
- Pull batteries from designated locations and verify that the correct items and quantities are selected.
- Check battery voltage and boost or charge batteries as needed to meet quality standards.
- Apply date dot stickers and attach the appropriate company labels (such as brand labels) to each battery.
- Stack prepared batteries neatly and safely on pallets for staging.
- Stage completed orders in the designated area for drivers to load onto trucks.
- Operate a riding pallet jack or electric pallet jack to move batteries and pallets throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with will-call customer orders by locating, preparing, and handing off products in a professional manner.
- Maintain a consistent work pace to meet the expectation of handling approximately 40 batteries per hour.
- Lift and move batteries weighing between 40 and 160 pounds, requesting assistance for heavier items as needed.
- Use RF scanners or similar tools, when required, to track inventory and confirm order accuracy.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling batteries and operating warehouse equipment.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient operation.
Essential Skills
- Previous warehouse experience with order picking and order pulling.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, including riding or electric pallet jacks.
- Forklift experience in a warehouse or general labor environment.
- Ability to use RF scanners or similar devices for inventory and order tracking.
- Capability to lift and handle batteries weighing from 50 to 160 pounds, with assistance for heavier items.
- Ability to lift and move 300 or more batteries per day, with average weights of 40 to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in a production-oriented environment with a metric of approximately 40 batteries per hour.
- Customer service skills to assist will-call customers in a helpful and professional manner.
- Attention to detail when checking voltage, labeling batteries, and verifying order accuracy.
- Commitment to following safety procedures when handling batteries and operating equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in general labor, production, or distribution environments.
- Familiarity with battery products, such as AA, AAA, golf cart, marine, or automotive batteries.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team setting of a few warehouse colleagues.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to support additional tasks as warehouse needs arise.
- Interest in long-term employment with opportunities to grow as the business expands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.10 - $20.85/hr.
