Construction Project Lead

Location: Marlborough, MA

Onsite Flexibility: Remote

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 4 months
  • Start: June 1, 2026
  • Pay Rate: $38.00 $46.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Schedule: 40-hour work week; can participate in summer Fridays up until 7/20, then during the rollout timeframe (7/20 to the end of summer Fridays), availability on Friday afternoon is required. In-office days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

The Construction Project Lead directly oversees miscellaneous construction and signage projects within different chains. This role aids in project schedules and assigning General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors, distributes all required project documents to external and internal contacts, negotiates pricing, reviews and approves proposals and invoices, tracks progress, and ensures close-outs for all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives assigned. The Construction Project Lead supplies updates detailing the status of all miscellaneous construction and signage initiatives on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create Construction contract preparation memos and DocuSigns for all assigned projects.
  • Ensure Sign Vendors adhere to contract pricing and specifications for all assigned projects.
  • Track and adhere to budgets, review, and approve proposals and invoices for all assigned construction and signage projects.
  • Award miscellaneous construction projects to General Contractors and/or Sign Vendors.
  • Send kick-off emails for all assigned projects; conduct remote kick-off meetings for applicable project types.
  • Track progress of all assigned projects.
  • Responsible for adjusting Contractor schedule strategies to ensure timely completion of projects and cost-effective execution methods.
  • Perform related administrative tasks on a regular basis.
Required Skills
  • Strong organization and project planning skills.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at any one time; strong preference for experience handling multiple projects and/or large-scale rollouts.
  • Highly self-motivated; works well in a team environment.
  • Understanding and ability to read blueprints, specifically Floor Plans, Elevations, and Site Plans.
  • Ability to decipher landlord and city codes as they relate to exterior signs.
  • Comfortability with managing questions, concerns, and problems via phone and email (e.g., field teams and contractors requesting guidance and/or reassurance).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Word.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong knowledge of store layouts, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing criteria.
  • Experience working on complex projects.
  • Retail experience.
  • General fixturing and retail store planning knowledge.
  • Lucernex and Service Channel experience.
Required Experience
  • 5 8 years in Construction, Facilities, Store Planning, Fixturing, Architectural Design, or related construction trades (preferred).
