Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 13-week travel contract in an Ortho/Trauma Unit, requiring at least one year of nursing experience and an active OK or Compact RN license.

  • Work in the Ortho/Trauma Unit of an acute care hospital in Oklahoma City, OK
  • \n
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

  • 13-week contract assignment
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate Compact RN license (eNLC) required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • \n
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
  • \n
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, IV management, and care plan coordination
  • \n
  • Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
  • \n
  • Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
  • \n
  • Educates patients and families on care plans and hospital procedures, including at discharge
  • \n
  • All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • \n
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total work before being eligible for another contract
  • \n
  • BSN is preferred but not required
  • \n
