American Consultants is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma metropolitan area
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM). Weekend coverage required. Patient ratio 4:1. Self-scheduling available.
Highlights:- 13-week travel assignment in a 25-bed step down unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of relevant experience
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and radiology
- Epic charting system experience required
- Minimal floating required; orientation provided when floating to like units within scope
- 12-hour onsite orientation with 4-6 hours of non-billable training modules
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of step down or progressive care nursing experience
- Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
- Epic charting system proficiency required
- Previous charge experience and community hospital experience preferred
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
This step down assignment offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population with diagnoses including respiratory failure, A-fib with RVR, sepsis, CHF, COPD, and ETOH withdrawal. You'll work with advanced equipment including Airvo, BiPAP, wound vacs, and TR bands while performing specialized procedures such as cardioversions, groin site management, and radial band application.
