Position Details

• Specialty: NP / PA – Urgent Care, Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Acute Care
• Setting: Outpatient Urgent Care
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
• Schedule: Ongoing Coverage | No Call
• Start Date: ASAP
• EMR: Epic
• Compensation: 💰 $85–$105/hr
• Credentialing Time: Approx. 20 Days

Practice Highlights

• High-volume urgent care environment
• Average 40 PPD (can reach up to 60 PPD depending on site)
• Treating adults + pediatric patients (6 months and older)
• Provider works independently as the sole APP in the center
• Support staff includes:
  • Center Manager
  • Medical Assistant
  • PSA
  • Off-site Supervising Physician

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 12 months Urgent Care / ER / Family Practice experience
• Comfortable managing:
  • I&Ds
  • Laceration repairs
  • Ear irrigation
  • Minor procedures
• Must be confident treating patients independently
• Strong soft skills and patient interaction required
• Epic EMR proficiency required

Requirements

• Active North Carolina License
• Board Certified / NCCPA / NP Board Certified
• NC DEA
• BLS Required
• DOT Certification Required
• ACLS/PALS Preferred
