\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse in Maternal Child Health is responsible for delivering direct patient care to a designated group of patients. This position collaborates with Unit leadership to adhere to the scope of practice for nursing governing bodies relevant to Maternal Child Health.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Assess patients and families with needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex.
\n
• Observe and collect data to plan, implement, and evaluate care that meets physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
\n
• Employ a person-centered care approach when developing care plans.
\n
• Demonstrate critical thinking and make appropriate clinical decisions to address both planned and unplanned events.
\n
• Maintain competence in technical skills needed for patient and family care.
\n
• Act as a resource to peers and involve multidisciplinary health team members to achieve care goals.
\n
• Facilitate connections between patients, families, and other disciplines as needed.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Post Partum experience is required; must independently care for mother/baby couplets.
\n
• Valid state nursing license.
\n
• Completion of Centralus Skills Checklist and Core Competency Exam for onboarding.
\n
• Medical vaccinations such as MMR, Hepatitis B, TB test, Tdap, Varicella, and Fit Test.
\n

This is a 13-week contract position.
