American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency on the night shift.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit within a Maternal Child Services department
\n
• Care spans Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby settings
\n
• Follows baby-friendly protocols for newborn care
\n
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
\n
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
\n
• One holiday required
\n
• No on-call responsibilities
\n
• May float within scope to other units as part of a Helping Hands program
\n
• Uses Epic EMR system
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active WI RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
\n
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
\n
• Preferred certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and S.T.A.B.L.E
\n
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
\n
• Epic charting system experience required
\n
• Skilled in labor and delivery management, including high-risk and vaginal delivery assistance
\n
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including external and internal fetal heart monitoring
\n
• Experience with postpartum care, including cesarean section and vaginal delivery recovery
\n
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care phases
\n
• Assist with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, including forceps/vacuum extraction procedures
\n
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
\n
• Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching to parents
\n
• Support breastfeeding and lactation for postpartum patients
\n
• Manage pain relief methods including epidural anesthesia and PCA administration
\n
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
\n
• Holiday rotation participation may be required
\n
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
