Surgery, PRN/PSA General Surgery Opportunity In Edenton, NC

ECU Health General Surgery and ECU Health Chowan Hospital located in Edenton, North Carolina are seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon to provide PRN coverage.  New providers will need to come in the day before first shift for orientation. Five years minimum experience is preferred.

• ECU Health Chowan Hospital - Inpatient & Outpatient call and coverage

• Upper and lower scopes are a required procedure
\n
• Call: Solo coverage
\n
• Nights & Weekends
\n
• Volumes per day during outpatient clinic: 25
\n
• Volumes per day surgical cases: up to 8 elective
\n
• Average total surgical inpatient census: 2
\n
• Average number of admissions per day: 1
\n
• May require ICU/Critical Care duties
\n
• Provider will not respond to codes
\n
• Provider will be required to cover consults and procedures in ED during call
\n
• BLS Required; if candidate would like conscious sedation privileges candidate will be required to have ACLS and PALS
\n
• Procedures: Upper and lower scopes, Gall bladder removal, appendix removal, food bolus, bowel obstruction, hernia repair
\n
