Sales & Estimating Representative – East Kansas (Residential & Commercial Construction)


Location: East Kansas Region | Schedule: Full-Time | Reports to: President

We’re looking for a motivated Sales & Estimating Representative with a solid background in construction estimating, particularly in residential and commercial new builds across Eastern Kansas. This role plays a key part in both inside and outside sales, focusing on growing and maintaining relationships in the new construction and retail markets while ensuring accurate takeoffs and project proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Client Development: Actively generate and manage leads across new construction (residential and commercial) and retail markets in the Eastern Kansas region.

  • Estimating & Takeoffs: Conduct jobsite measurements and generate timely, accurate bids and material takeoffs based on blueprints and specs.

  • Project Coordination: Work closely with sales, operations, and management teams to schedule and coordinate projects and ensure seamless execution.

  • Blueprint Reading: Analyze architectural plans and select appropriate insulation materials based on project requirements.

  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service and support, maintaining strong customer relationships and encouraging repeat business.

  • Documentation: Provide administrative staff with accurate cut sheets and paperwork for timely job delivery and installation.

Qualifications
  • Experience in construction estimating (residential or commercial): 2+ years preferred

  • Familiarity with builders, contractors, and construction trends on the East side of Kansas

  • Comfortable with both fieldwork (jobsite measurements) and office tasks (proposals, bids, documentation)

  • Strong knowledge of insulation products and general construction methods

  • Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills

  • Technologically proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word); experience with blueprint-reading or estimating software is a strong plus

  • Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented

  • Associate Degree or relevant industry experience preferred

  • BPI Certification, RESNET Qualification, or similar building science background is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
  • Job Type: Full-Time (Base + Commission)

  • Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Paid Training: Yes

  • Work Location: One central location; local travel for site visits as needed
