Makowski Dental is growing and we're looking to add a Part-Time Dental Hygienist!
Since 1983, Makowski Dental has provided high-quality dental care to individuals across Colorado. As a result, we developed a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of dentistry and successfully treated countless patients. As a boutique dental office, we are able to give 100% of our time, effort, and attention to each of our patients. We’re looking for a passionate Dental Hygienist who thrives in a fast-paced setting and loves making a meaningful impact each day.
Find us at 1220 S Parker Road Suite 104 Denver, CO 80231. Centrally located near the Parker/Mississippi intersection with easy commuting from Denver and Aurora.
Part-time schedule will be 1-2 days/week, we are flexible on the exact days.
Office hours as follows:
- Monday & Wednesday (morning huddle starts at 7:15am) 7:30am - 4:30pm with a 1-hour break
- Tuesday & Thursday (morning huddle starts at 7:15am) 7:30am - 4:00pm with a 30 min break
- (willing to consider full-time applicants as well)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient screening procedures, including assessing oral health conditions, reviewing patient health history, performing oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Take digital radiographs
- Follow practice protocols for quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referrals, emergency medicine, implants, perio program, and emergency treatment
- Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and use of cavitron/prophy jet
- Apply preventive materials to teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides) and make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
- Promote good dental and general health by educating patients on oral hygiene techniques, flossing and brushing, providing oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counseling, and dispensing oral hygiene aids
- Maintain a sterile and organized working environment following infection control procedures
- Familiarize patients with their dental visit, provide support and compassion
- Chart dentition, evaluate hard and soft tissue, document existing restorations, decay, perio charting, and treatments
Compensation:
- Compensation based on experience ($58-65/hour)
- Part time benefits include uniform allowance, employee dental benefits, wellness time
Candidate Requirements:
- Active CO RDH License
- CPR and First Aid certification
