Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) – Long Term Care (LTC)
Location: Snyder, TX
Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Weekend Requirement: None
On-Call Requirement: None
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving strength, coordination, fine motor skills, and functional independence.
- Provide training and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and mobility.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and the use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
- Communicate patient status and treatment updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Prepare treatment areas, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe therapy environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a Long-Term Care setting required.
- Active Texas OTA License or Compact License required.
- Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) experience preferred.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
