Requirements – Occupational Therapist (OT) Inpatient Rehab
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapy License
- Active BLS Certification
- Active NIHSS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
- Inpatient Rehab experience preferred
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
Required Skills
- Occupational Therapy evaluations and treatment planning
- Functional mobility and rehabilitation interventions
- Patient transfer and mobility assistance
- Discharge planning and patient/family education
- Documentation and care planning
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ability to supervise COTA staff and rehab technicians
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and establish individualized treatment plans
- Implement and modify therapy interventions based on patient progress
- Perform safe patient handling and transfers
- Utilize standardized outcome measures appropriately
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses accurately
- Provide patient and caregiver education
- Communicate patient progress and discharge recommendations with the care team
Certifications Required
- OT License – Illinois
- BLS (AHA preferred)
- NIHSS
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 40 Hours/Week
- 13 Week Contract
