Network Analyst – Firewall & Connectivity Support
Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Analyst with strong experience supporting enterprise firewall and connectivity operations. The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall technologies, routing, IPsec tunnels, Panorama management, and network troubleshooting within the last 2 years.

This role will act as the primary point of contact for connectivity-related requests and work closely with network and firewall engineering teams to support enterprise network operations, troubleshooting, documentation, and request management.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary intake for network connectivity and firewall-related questions and requests.
  
• Gather technical information and ensure requests are submitted through approved operational workflows.
  
• Support troubleshooting and analysis of:
  • Palo Alto firewall rules
    
  • Routing issues
    
  • IPsec VPN tunnels
    
  • Policy-based packet inspection
    
  • Firewall deployment and integration
    
• Assist with Palo Alto Panorama management and policy administration.
  
• Maintain accurate case logs, troubleshooting notes, escalation details, status updates, and resolution timelines.
  
• Identify routing or firewall inconsistencies and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution.
  
• Create templates, checklists, and process documentation to improve request quality and operational efficiency.
  
• Support documentation updates and maintain internal knowledge base articles.
  
• Coordinate with network engineers, firewall engineers, and security teams to ensure proper request routing and timely issue resolution.
  
• Participate in troubleshooting calls, operational support activities, and incident management.
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network support, firewall operations, or network analysis roles.
  
• Recent hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall technologies within the last 2 years.
  
• Strong understanding of:
  • Palo Alto Firewall Rules
    
  • Panorama Management
    
  • Routing and Switching
    
  • IPsec VPN Tunnels
    
  • TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, and network troubleshooting
    
  • Policy-based packet inspection
    
• Experience supporting enterprise connectivity and firewall operations.
  
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Palo Alto certifications such as PCNSA or PCNSE.
  
• Experience working in NOC, SOC, or enterprise operations environments.
  
• Exposure to cloud networking environments (AWS/Azure).
  
• Experience supporting firewall deployments and migrations.
  
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell/Python) is a plus.
