Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer position in Muskogee, Oklahoma. This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures utilizing ultrasound equipment to assist in disease diagnosis. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

  • Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program; Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum 2 years of experience in vascular and general ultrasound; ability to perform basic ultrasound echo and/or peripheral vascular studies; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Additional Information: Available for emergency callback.
  • Position Responsibilities:
    • Performs technical ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently.
    • Positions, transfers, and immobilizes patients as necessary.
    • Adjusts ultrasound machinery and ancillary equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
    • Aids in equipment calibration to meet departmental standards.
    • Performs high-level probe disinfection.
    • Schedules exams and maintains departmental records.
    • Supports quality control programs.
    • Exercises independent judgment in planning procedures.
    • Works directly with patients, internal and external healthcare professionals, often collaborating at director level or above.
