What You’ll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll assist with maintaining and troubleshooting automated train systems that transport millions of airport passengers safely and efficiently each year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on automated transit vehicles and support equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and HVAC-related issues
• Work on components such as motors, brakes, gearboxes, couplers, compressors, suspension systems, doors, and control systems
• Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot equipment failures
• Support corrective and emergency repairs to maintain safe and reliable train operations
• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting, testing, system adjustments, and repairs
• Complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair documentation accurately
• Follow all company safety procedures and airport security requirements
• Support 24/7 transit operations through rotating shifts and overtime coverage when needed

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in automotive, diesel, fleet, aviation, industrial, or mechanical repair environments
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems such as brakes, suspension, drivetrains, engines, HVAC, or component replacement
• Ability to safely use common shop tools, diagnostic tools, and repair equipment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
• Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain airport security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school, technical training, military mechanical experience, or vocational certifications
• Experience reading basic schematics, service manuals, or wiring diagrams
• Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting, pneumatic systems, HVAC systems, or electromechanical equipment
• Experience working in fast-paced maintenance or operational environments
