Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive pain assessment, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide advanced interventions to improve patient quality of life. You will be instrumental in managing acute and chronic pain conditions across diverse patient populations, utilizing your expertise to enhance outcomes and promote well-being. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, and assessment of pain levels using standardized tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized pain management plans incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies such as nerve blocks, botulinum toxin treatments, and esthetic laser procedures.
  • Administer injections, including dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, and other therapeutic agents with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, including referrals for physical therapy, behavioral health support, or surgical interventions when necessary.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Manage complex cases involving acute pain management in settings like emergency rooms or intensive care units, ensuring prompt and effective relief strategies.
  • Educate patients on pain management options, medication administration, lifestyle modifications, and safety precautions to empower self-care.

Experience

  • Proven clinical experience in pain management within hospital settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced procedures including spinal taps, catheterizations, IV infusions, and ventilator management.
  • Familiarity with medical coding systems such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), ensuring accurate billing and documentation.
  • Experience working in diverse environments like emergency medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics specializing in acute or chronic pain conditions.
  • Knowledge of telehealth platforms for remote patient assessments and follow-up care delivery.
  • Background working with complex patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
