Maintenance Mechanic

Kenner, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Electro/Mechanical Technician with a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred. This position is responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining industrial equipment and machinery while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Duties:
• Repair and rebuild small tools and machinery using shop manuals and technical documentation
• Identify, organize, and maintain inventories of spare and repair parts
• Repair and maintain various types of industrial equipment and machinery
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on industrial systems and equipment
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow instructions from senior technicians and collaborate with maintenance teams
• Complete all other assigned duties as required

Requirements/Skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability and desire to learn multiple skilled trades
• Experience in electro/mechanical fields such as HVAC, appliances, welding equipment, cranes, or similar industrial systems
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Ability to work closely with and take direction from senior technicians
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and crawl into confined or awkward spaces
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in industrial environments
