Job Summary

Zing is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to support high-speed manufacturing operations in West Nyack, NY. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and setting up electro-mechanical production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair, set up, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical machinery and equipment
• Complete equipment changeovers
• Perform scheduled weekly preventative maintenance
• Maintain equipment history and maintenance documentation
• Communicate engineering issues and generate work requests
• Perform safety checks and ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed
• Provide technical support to production operations
• Set up and monitor high-speed assembly machines
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Train employees on manufacturing techniques and procedures as directed
• Read, understand, and modify SIEMENS PLC programs
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuitry using schematics and testing equipment
• Review methods, equipment, and procedures to improve efficiencies
• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend operational improvements
• Maintain machine shop tools and spare parts inventory
• Recommend process, cost, and efficiency improvements
• Assist in preparing operating manuals and technical documentation
• Maintain product quality standards by inspecting parts, adjusting controls, and replacing tooling

Qualifications

• Previous industrial mechanic or maintenance experience required
• Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment
• PLC experience required, preferably SIEMENS
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use testing equipment
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment setup
• High-speed manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to workplace safety procedures
