Engineering Project Manager

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading programs or projects in an engineered or manufactured product environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to manage both customer-facing programs and internal new product development efforts
  • Familiarity with defense contracting expectations and industrial product delivery lifecycles
  • Strong judgment in tailoring project management approaches to match project complexity and speed
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills
  • PMP, Lean, Agile, or similar credentials are preferred
  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–20%

The Role

This organization develops and produces engineered sub-systems for defense and advanced industrial customers. Project work spans everything from fast-paced commercial initiatives to long-term, contract-driven defense programs. The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring these projects are delivered successfully while continuously improving how work is executed.

Highlights

  • Lead high-value customer programs from initial launch through final delivery, managing timelines, budgets, scope, and performance
  • Partner directly with senior leadership to set priorities, guide execution, and own outcomes for key initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, contracts, and finance
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and satisfaction
  • Select and apply appropriate project management methods, including Waterfall, Agile, Lean, or hybrid approaches
  • Monitor progress, risks, costs, and schedules, providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders
  • Contribute to proposal development and support new business capture efforts
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and quality standards, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, AS9100, and ISO 9001

Annual Salary rate: $110K to $120K DOE

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
