Description
American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Endovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist with mandatory experience in Neuro Endovascular or Neuro Interventional Radiology to help open a new specialty department.
Details
- Work in a Neuro Endovascular procedural unit at an acute care hospital
- Cases include large vessel occlusion (LVO) stroke interventions and cerebral aneurysm repairs performed with an Endovascular-trained Neurologist
- Procedures performed in a Neurointerventional (NIR Bi-Plane) suite
- Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Call required every other week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Neuro Endovascular or Neuro Interventional Radiology — this is mandatory
- Experience in vascular radiology scrubbing and imaging required
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- SCRQSA certification required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- This is a newly opening department seeking experienced technologists to assist in establishing the specialty
- Responsibilities include selecting appropriate technical factors for NIR procedures based on body habitus, pathology, and anatomy
- Technologists will scrub procedures, assist with patient draping, positioning, and sterile field establishment
- Participates in surgical site and patient verification during time-out procedures
- Assists with room preparation, turnover, and ensuring equipment is functional and procedure rooms are ready
- Works under the supervision and delegatory authority of a physician to ensure safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive procedures
