Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist position in Ocala, Florida, involves providing specialized technical care within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This role requires performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including both right and left heart catheterizations. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Ocala, Florida
- Certification: Registered Cardiac Interventional Specialist (RCIS) required
- Experience: Minimal 2-year laboratory experience required
- Schedule: Four ten-hour shifts with rotating call, totaling at least 36 hours per week
- Certifications: RCIS and American Life Support (ALS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Type of procedures performed on unit: Right and left heart catheterization (diagnostic and intervention), peripheral diagnostic, and intervention procedures
- Equipment: GE lab, Impella, Balloon pump, Penumbra, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
- Documentation system: Merge Hemo documentation
- Dress code: Provided scrubs
- Additional information: The role involves working in a busy, high-tech environment with opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. The position includes rotating call, and the candidate will be expected to provide care in both the Cardiac Cath Lab and possibly support nearby sister hospitals for STEMI call.
