Job Title: Behavior Interventionist
Hourly Rate: $23-$28 per hour

Position Summary:
Behavior Interventionists support students in an educational setting, in a one-to-one relationship, to meet the goals expressed in the student's individualized educational program. They offer individualized supports in a classroom setting.

Behavior Interventionists support students in an educational setting, in a one-to-one relationship, to meet the goals expressed in the student's individualized educational program. They offer individualized supports in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule/Shift
- School hours are generally 6.5-7 hours per day.
- Key Duties
- Implement student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
- Assist teacher(s) and work collaboratively with educational and behavioral team for implementation of classroom/school routines.
- Accurately collect and graph data.
- Utilize CPI de-escalation strategies and physical management as necessary for safety.
- Education
- Required: Associates degree or higher (48 credit hours+)
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a setting with students that have a level of behavioral need.
- None required
- Ability to communicate effectively across school teams
- Familiarity with school based systems and Individual Education Plans
- Data collection skills
- Empathy, understanding of developmental stages, and understanding and ability to utilize ABA strategies.
