Industrial Mechanic

Position: Industrial Mechanic
Location: Tampa, FL
Compensation: $30/hr - $35.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required)

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Industrial Mechanic with a strong background in servicing and repairing large industrial gearboxes and heavy-duty machinery.

This role is ideal for individuals who have hands-on experience in the industrial sector, particularly working with oversized mechanical systems, and who take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable work in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic inspections, repairs, and maintenance on large industrial gearboxes and mechanical systems
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild components to specification
• Utilize technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to guide repairs
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable industrial mechanical experience
• Proven expertise working with large gearboxes and heavy industrial equipment
• Strong understanding of mechanical components including bearings, shafts, seals, and alignments
• Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical diagrams
• Must provide own tools and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
