OTR Driver

While driving is the main component of this job, an OTR truck driver manages a continuous freight cycle that encompasses safety, logistics, and legal compliance.

We are looking for someone with at least 1 years experience of OTR Trucking.

Experience Includes:

• Long-Haul Transportation: Safely navigate a commercial motor vehicle across long distances and diverse terrain under variable weather conditions.
• Pre- & Post-Trip Inspections: Evaluate the truck and trailer before and after every trip, checking brakes, tires, fluids, and lights to ensure continuous roadworthiness.
• Cargo Securement: Verify that freight is properly distributed, chained, strapped, or tarped to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to Department of Transportation (DOT) laws, federal weight limits, and state traffic regulations.
• Hours of Service (HOS) Logging: Track all active driving hours, breaks, and rest periods utilizing Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
• Dispatch Communication: Maintain consistent contact with the logistics dispatch team to update delivery timelines and report mechanical delays or road incidents.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Experience: Previous over-the-road experience or graduation from an accredited CDL training program.
• Medical: Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
• Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major moving violations or preventable accidents.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various severe weather conditions.
