Badlands Tank Lines is the largest crude hauler in the U.S. and is seeking experienced Diesel Mechanic for the Roosevelt, UT area.
Work Environment:
- The duties of this position are generally performed in a climate-controlled shop; however service calls and outside work will be required.
Schedule:
- Night shift
- Weekends and holidays as required.
- Applicants must have flexibility
- 4-3, 5-2 shifts are possible.
- Up to 60 hour work weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain productivity and personal efficiency of 80%
- Perform repairs, inspect equipment, report incidents, prepare documents
- Real time communication with management on out of service equipment
- Follow and exhibit company core values
- Adhere to all company SOP’s and standards
- Continuing education on procedures, specifications and technologies
- Practice shop safety
- Accomplish assigned tasks and duties in a timely manner
- Attaching parts to work orders and communicating needs with parts staff
- Perform PM’s and inspections on large fleet with constant workflow
- Properly fill out inspection paperwork and deliver to appropriate parties
- Communication through Microsoft Teams about completed work and out of service issues
- Maintain shop and yard from debris and any hazards
- Maintain a professional relationship with other Badlands Tank Lines employees
- Perform special tasks assigned by management in a timely manner
Pay:
- Position is hourly
- Advertised pay is based on up to 12 hours of overtime per week
- Bi-weekly Pay Days
- This position is eligible for a quarterly $750 incentive bonus based on efficiency
Qualifications:
- Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform repairs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast paced work environment.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Familiar with DOT regulations
- Must be able to learn and grow
- Subject to pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree [GED].
- 2+ years of experience in Heavy Truck and Trailer service and repair.
- Prior experience with crude oil tankers a plus.
