Job Description
This role involves performing visual inspection, sorting, and packaging of products. The candidate will use measuring equipment to ensure parts meet standards, although each part should already be thoroughly inspected by a machinist. Bad parts need to be set aside, and if there are many, it should be brought to the supervisor's attention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections of products.
- Sort and package products accurately.
- Utilize measuring equipment for standard checks.
- Identify and set aside defective parts.
- Report a high volume of defects to a supervisor.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Basic math skills, including computation of rate and ratio using a calculator.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for the entire shift.
- 6 months of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
- Experience in a metals environment is a plus.

Work Environment
The facility operates two shifts: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from 4:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The workspace is well-lit, organized, and clean with a climate-controlled environment. Expect the smell of oil and metal. Enjoy access to a nice break room and training room.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover Park, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
