Special Education Teacher - Extensive Support Needs (Elementary)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Spindle is partnering with a school district to hire an Elementary Special Education Teacher – Extensive Support Needs for next school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction in self-contained and inclusive elementary settings for students with extensive support needs

• Implement structured routines, visual supports, and assistive technology to promote learning and independence

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs targeting communication, adaptive behavior, and academic readiness skills

• Partner with related service providers (SLP, OT, PT) and families to deliver coordinated student supports

• Collect and analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions

Qualifications:

• California Education Specialist Credential – Extensive Support Needs

• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), PECS, or other structured support frameworks preferred

• Strong teamwork, organization, and family communication skills
