This contract position runs from August 3, 2026, to June 25, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students through a flexible, self-paced curriculum that emphasizes both academic achievement and real-world career preparation.

Your expertise in special education will help students overcome academic and social barriers, preparing them to earn high school diplomas and transition seamlessly into sustainable careers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification for Ohio
  • Experience working with high school-aged students, particularly in dropout prevention or alternative education settings
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Collaborative spirit with excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and motivation to support at-risk youth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
  • Instruct and support students in a variety of academic subjects and life skills
  • Collaborate with general education staff, counselors, and support personnel to ensure student success
  • Monitor progress, assess growth, and adjust strategies as needed
  • Encourage student engagement through positive reinforcement and innovative teaching techniques
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations for special education

Benefits include highly competitive compensation, weekly pay, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life), a matching 401k program, and flexible spending account options.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment and believe every student deserves a path to success, take the next step in your teaching career. Apply today to help shape the futures of students who need your expertise and encouragement.
